Links to Home Pages of Places You Can Visit
We offer a lot of "virtual" museums and places to visit, on our links page. But some have
real counterparts that you can go see, touch, handle. So, if you happen to live near them,
or are planning a vacation, etc., go to their website and find out how to pay them a visit!

The Museum of Northern Arizona
A nice website, simple and easy to use. You'll see what the museum has to offer: lots of southwest geology, paleontology (especially dinosaur fossils), and native american culture and history. AND, "Ventures Programs": educational trips & tours.

Rock Art in Arkansas
This will take you to a website about cave art, and petroglyphs, etc., in Arkansas. It's got a lot of info and pictures of these ancient Indian artifacts. And it supplies teaching resources, things for kids, and links to places you can visit to see it.

Computer History Museum
If you're passing near Mountainview, California, and have any computer nuts in your family, you ought to stop by here. You can see, feel, touch, read, and hear lectures, etc. about all the history and technology of computers.

In Los Alamos, New Mexico, the Los Alamos National Laboratory shows its stuff - from the first atom bombs to today's work in energy, environment, computers, even genetics and bioscience! It's all free, even the theater and live science demo's.

A Sightseer's Guide to Engineering
Plan your trip(s). Every state in the USA has cool places to visit: powerplants (even nuclear); dams; factories; windmill farms; bridges; telescopes; mines; museums of atoms, bells, computers, machinery, railroads, telephones ... You'll find them here!

Florida Museum of Natural History
If you can't visit this place, well, it's also one of the best "virtual museums" I've seen on the net. Natural history, paleontology, and even cultural history, well presented. A couple of specials: ice age "Tusks" (6/02 - 5/03) & the city of St Augustine.

Creswell Crags
Visiting Britain? Get out of the moldy mold and take a trip to the Sherwood Forest, north of London, and visit this complex of archeological (mostly ice/stone age) sites, museum, tours, caves, exhibits, kid-friendly activities, etc., etc. It's cheap, in U.S. $.
